The Clarke County School District has earned full system accreditation through the 2028-29 school year from Cognia. The district’s status had been under review since 2020.
The nonprofit Cognia organization provides quality assurance for schools, school districts, and education service providers. To earn accreditation from Cognia, a school district also must implement a continuous process of improvement and submit to internal and external reviews. School systems in good standing can maintain their accreditation for a five-year term.
The district’s accreditation is separate from the Cognia Special Review that the CCSD Board of Education is currently under.
