U.S., Georgia, Rank Low in Women's Equality

Women’s Equality Day is this Saturday, August 26th, the 103rd anniversary of women’s suffrage in the U.S. The observance celebrates and honors the suffrage movement and strides women have made toward equality. Unfortunately, the gender gap remains. According to the World Economic Forum’s ranking of 146 countries, the U.S. failed to place in the top 30 nations.
Jill Gonzalez is an analyst with the personal finance website WalletHub, which conducted a recent study on gender equality.
She says the situation varies from state to state, with Georgia coming in among the lowest ranked states.

In 2023, the U.S. ranked 43rd in the worlds when it comes to gender equality, down from 27th last year.
