The Athens-Clarke County Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that took place early Saturday morning.
At approximately 8:12 a.m., the ACCPD responded to a residence in the 200 block of Old Monroe Rd. where they found 72-year-old Eugene Scott deceased from a gunshot wound.
