Health experts are hoping to avoid a “tripledemic” this year, or the flu, RSV, and COVID-19. The Centers for Disease Control estimates that last year, there were 27-54 million flu cases and between 19,000 and 58,000 deaths due to the flu. And as many as 58,000 deaths due to the flu.
Dr. Girdhar Mallya is Senior Policy Officer with health philanthropy, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. He spoke with WUGA and says he encourages those who are able to get vaccinated.

Anyone six months and older can receive the flu shot, and COVID-19 vaccine. RSV shots are recommended for people over 60 and pregnant women. For more information, visit www.vaccine.gov.
