The University of Georgia has joined a national initiative committed to making it easier to understand financial aid offers.
All 26 institutions in the University System of Georgia are partnering with more than 360 colleges and universities around the nation in joining the ‘College Cost Transparency Initiative.’
The measure will standardize the language used in financial aid offers, with the goal of making all costs, terms, and conditions easy to understand. The move should help students and their families have an easier time comparing offers side by side. The initiative will assist more than 3.8 million students. The standards go into effect November 1st.
