The Morton Theatre Corporation is holding a film screening about the 1946 Moore’s Ford Lynching. “Unspoken” is a documentary about racial division and the lynching, which was the last mass lynching in America.
The screening will be followed by a conversation with the audience and filmmaker Stephanie Calabrese, Dr. LaKeisha Gantt, along with film participants Patrice Broughton and Elizabeth Jones.
Kimberly Davis is a member of the board of directors. She says the quest for justice continues since no one was ever held accountable for the lynching, in which four people were killed.
The screening is 3 pm, Sunday, October 22, 2023. It is free, but donations are welcome.
