The American Christmas Tree Association, which represents manufacturers and retailers of real and artificial trees, is trying to highlight popular trends with artificial trees, and claims the trees look more realistic every year.

The holiday season is approaching and ACCGov’s Landscape Management Division is seeking a donated Christmas tree to ‘deck’ City Hall with. The preferred tree should be a privately owned cedar tree that is approximately 20 feet in diameter and 35 feet tall with a single, symmetrical trunk.

The Landscape Management Division will be responsible for assessing, removing, and transporting the tree at no cost to the owner. The tree will be decorated and displayed in front of City Hall during December. The final date for tree donation is Wednesday, November 22.

Interested donors can reach out to Greg Shaw or Jonmichael Jones in the Landscape Management Division of the Central Services Department. They can be contacted at 706-613-3561 or through email at greg.shaw@accgov.com or jonmichael.jones@accgov.com.
