After a week of early voting, fewer than one percent of Clarke County’s registered voters have voted in the November special election. Martin Matheny has more:

As of Monday morning, just 683 Clarke County voters had voted early or requested an absentee ballot. Of those, 528 voted early in-person, while 155 have requested an absentee ballot by mail. Eleven mail ballots have been returned.

On the ballot for all Clarke County voters is a special election for Clerk of Court, while some Winterville voters will also have a chance to vote for city council seats.

Early voting is available at the ACC Elections office from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Mondays through Saturdays through November 3rd. Additional early voting locations at the Winterville Train Depot and Athens-Clarke County Library will open on Saturday.
