Athens Tech Launches Partnership with Rivian

Athens Technical College is announcing the launch of a new partnership.
Athens Tech is entering a partnership with the Rivian Technical Trades program. The joint effort will provide individuals with an opportunity to fast-track their careers in skilled trades. Courses in Industrial Systems Technology and Precision Machining and Manufacturing will be offered.

Rivian is hosting an information session at the Walton County campus on November 7th from 6 to 7 pm. Hands on experience will begin in January 2024. Among the requirements, applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, be 18 before the factory rotation, and be willing to temporarily relocate to Rivian's Normal, IL factory.

Those participating in the program will be employed full-time and receive pay and benefits.
