Drivers across Georgia have a way to get home safely this Thanksgiving weekend. For the 25th year, AAA will provide its Tow to Go campaign that allows one driver and their vehicle to be picked up and dropped off anywhere within a 10-mile radius for free.
This service acts as a last line of defense for those who should not be driving due to alcohol or drug consumption and can not be scheduled ahead of time. The program is available to both AAA members and non-members and has removed more than 25,000 impaired drivers since its start, according to a AAA press release.
Tow to Go is active from Wednesday, November 22 at 6 p.m. through Monday, November 27 at 6 a.m. and is available in Georgia and ten other states. Drivers can call (855) 2-TOW-2-GO or (855) 286-9246 to request their free ride.
