Around 235,000 current and former members of Jackson EMC will receive a share of the company’s $15 million in excess revenue through margin refund checks this month.
Customers who paid for electric service between 1996 and 1998 or in 2022 will receive a check. The refund amount is comparable to the amount paid in electric service during those four years. Jackson EMC has returned $204 million in margin refunds to its members since 1938.
