Athens' 9th Annual MLK Day Parade and Music Festival Calls for Vendors, Performers

The 9th annual MLK Day Parade and Music Festival has issued an open registration call for vendors, participants and performers. Events are scheduled between noon and 6pm Monday, January 15th in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior's birthday and legacy.

In addition to the parade, the MLK Festival includes food, vendor booths, live music performances, guest speakers, and more. Those interested in being a part of the festivities can do so by visiting eventbrite.com and searching under Athens GA MLK. The event is free and open to the public and does not require an entry ticket, and there is no charge for youth groups, organizations, schools, and performers to register.

He was among a team at CNN that won a George Foster Peabody Award in 1991 for an educational product based on the fall of the Soviet Union. He also won an Edward R. Murrow Award from Radio Television Digital News Association in 2007 for producing a series for WSB Radio on financial scams. Jeff is a graduate of the Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University (MBA) and holds a BS in Business Administration from Campbell University, both in North Carolina.
