The Lyndon House Arts Center secured two awards at The Georgia Association of Museums annual conference, held in Athens earlier this month.
Their "Enslaved and Descendent Stories" exhibition won the "Resilient Civic and Musical Life" award, which recognizes an exhibition's scholarly and innovative contributions to Georgia's cultural landscape, emphasizing excellence in planning and implementation with effective engagement of the museum audience.
Furthermore, the center was honored with the 2024 Institution Award, recognizing its standing as a leading cultural institution in Georgia. This award underscores the center's historical achievements and its significance as a cultural resource within its community, signifying its leadership role at both local and statewide levels.
