Gov. Kemp: State of Georgia Breaks Export Records for Third Straight Year

Governor Brian Kemp joined the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) on Wednesday to announce that Georgia’s 2023 exports had surpassed its previous record year of exports set in 2022.

Georgia surpassed $49.7 billion in exports in 2023 and hit $47 billion in 2022.

Top exports included civilian aircraft products and motor vehicles, with Canada, Mexico, and China among the leading destinations.

The state currently ranks seventh in the U.S. for dollar value of trade, with an estimated 87 percent of exports coming from small businesses.
