Georgia Ranks High for Political Engagement Among Black Americans

The nation saw record voter turnout in the 2020 presidential election, but there was still a participation gap between Black and white Americans. Black voters will make up about 14% of voters across the nation.

Cassandra Happe is an analyst with the personal finance website WalletHub. She says Georgia had a smaller gap than most states, coming in in the top five for political engagement among African Americans.
