ACCPD Investigating a Stabbing

The Athens-Clarke County Police Department is investigating an early morning stabbing. According to a release from the department, at 2:59 on March 18, 2024, officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 100 block of Cardinal Creek Lane. They located a victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. Police say the victim’s son stabbed him multiple times before leaving the scene in a vehicle.

The suspect, 20-year-old Caleb Allen, of Athens was located by authorities in Jackson County and returned to Clarke County. Allen was arrested and charged with Family Violence Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Battery, obstructing a 911 call, and Theft by Taking.
