Over 1,000 Early Voters in Athens ahead of May 21 elections

Early voting is underway in Athens, with just over 1,100 ballots by Clarke County residents cast ahead of the May 21 general primary elections.

Six locations around Athens will host early voting until Friday, May 17 at 5pm. The ACC Elections Office, located downtown next to City Hall, will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the remainder of the week. Athens Regional Library, Miriam Moore Community Center, ACC Cooperative Extension Office in Bogart, ACC Tennis Center and the Winterville Cultural Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be extended hours for all early voting locations on May 15, being open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

On May 21, all voting precincts will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. These elections include local and statewide nonpartisan general elections and primaries for partisan elections.
