Ronald McDonald House Charities Bring Free Health Screenings to Athens Children

An Atlanta area organization is providing free health screenings and sports physicals for Athens children Tuesday, June 11, 2024. The Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities is bringing the Care Mobile to the Classic City.

The goal of the mobile unit is to make treatment accessible to children.
The event is from 10 am to 2 pm at the Jefferson Road McDonald's. Appointments are recommended, but walk-ups are welcome. Services include: ear, eye, and dental screenings, asthma care, and sports physicals.
Alissa Scherb is the Director of Impact and Stewardship with the nonprofit. She says the children aged three to 18 need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with a valid ID. She discussed the upcoming visit with WUGA.

For more information or to schedule an appointment visit ARMHC.org. or call 404-226-0012 or 404-219-7541. The organization accepts donations of money, clothes, hygiene kits, and snacks for families.
