On Tuesday, June 12, 2024 Athens-Clarke County police officers responded to the 100 block of Nowhere Road regarding a shooting. Officers secured the scene and located the victim with a gunshot wound. They rendered aid to 31-year-old Jeremy Howard of Athens, who was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
26-year-old Heather McCall, of Athens, was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct in connection with that shooting.
