Recreational use: ACC calls for input from community on spending, programs, and infrastructure

ACC Government

This summer, Athenians have a say in the future of recreation in Athens-Clarke County. The Leisure Services Department currently offers a suite of online tools for community input on its master plan.

The Leisure Services Department has launched the online community input phase in the development of its master plan, which hasn’t been updated in 20 years.

Athenians can visit Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services to give their input through several tools. An interactive map allows leisure-seekers to suggest where specific sites can be improved, and a budget tool lets residents identify where they believe money should be spent. A digital idea wall also offers space for program and infrastructure suggestions.

The department will also be present to gather input about the master plan at the Star Spangled Classic on Saturday, June 29th at Southeast Clarke Park.
