The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office has released the mug shot of accused school shooter Colt Gray. The 14-year-old is charged with four counts of felony murder in Wednesday morning’s shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder. According the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, more charges are expected.
Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith said Gray surrendered immediately when he encountered School Resource Officers inside the school.
Gray is scheduled to appear in Barrow County Superior Court Friday morning.
According to a media release, currently, the sheriff’s office is not releasing body camera videos or audio to protect the integrity of the investigation. Incident reports and arrest reports will be released when they become available. The sheriff’s office will provide further updates when available.
The victims who died in Wednesday’s mass shooting at Apalachee High School have been identified. Students Mason Shermerhorn, and Christian Angulo, both 14 years old. Also, Richard Aspinwall who taught math at the school and was a defensive coordinator for the Apalachee Wildcats football team and Christina Irimie who also taught math. Nine others were injured in the shooting.
