Attorney General Chris Carr is appealing a judge’s ruling that struck down Georgia’s abortion ban. Fulton County Superior Judge Robert McBurney ruled on Monday to strike down the state’s abortion law, claiming that the ban violates women's right to liberty and privacy under Georgia’s state constitution.

McBurney’s ruling allows abortions until viability, roughly 22 to 24 weeks into pregnancy, and according to AP News, Georgia Clinic Officials are beginning to accept patients whose pregnancies are past six weeks, although the ban could be reimposed rapidly.
