Deborah Gonzalez is facing another Marsy’s Law violation

Western Circuit District Attorney Deborah Gonzalez is facing another Marsy’s Law violation. The filing is the fifth against Gonzalez.

In this case, the DA is accused of violating the victim’s rights of a Clarke County sheriff’s deputy who was the victim in an assault case. Sgt. Kelda Corn, was the victim of an assault in the county jail. The suit claims that Corn was not notified of a bond heading in August where the man charged was granted bond and released from jail.

Attorney Kevin Epps, who filed earlier violations which the courts ruled were valid, is asking Gonzalez to recuse her office from prosecution of the case.
