High schools across Clarke County are seeing increases in their graduation rates from last school year. These numbers are due to the efforts implemented in all classrooms to increase the number of students who graduate in four years.

On Oct. 8, Clarke County School District received data from the Georgia Department of Education that revealed increases in high school graduation rates. For the 2023-24 school year, CCSD saw a 5.7-point increase in its four-year graduation rate to 81.1%.

CCSD also exceeded its target four-year rates across multiple demographics including white students, Black students, Hispanic students, economically disadvantaged students, and students with disabilities.

CCSD Superintendent Dr. Robbie Hooker is pleased with the efforts that are being made to ensure that the district will remain on this upward trajectory. He said CCSD utilized their five-year strategic plan that was put into place during last school year.
