The Athens-Clarke County Police Department has made an additional arrest in a fatal shooting. Police say 15-year-old Keanthony Sorrells was arrested around 1:30 pm on October 9th in connection with the May 27th shooting death of Cameron Manago. He is charged with malice murder, felony murder, two counts of armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault, and gang violence.
According to a release from the department, on May 27th at approximately 10:25 pm, ACC police responded a shooting at Rolling Ridge Apartments. Officers arrived on the scene to find 20-year-old Manago suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
16-year-old Zyquavious Thomas was arrested in May in connection with the shooting. He was charged with felony murder, attempted armed robbery, and aggravated assault. He is being charged as an adult.
Detectives from the ACCPD’s Robbery/Homicide and Gang Units, ACCPD’s Special Response Team, along with the FBI Safe Streets Task Force participated in the arrest.
