The final date to register to take part in the 2024 Downtown Athens Parade of Lights is Tuesday, November 5, at 5pm. The application fee is $40 and late applications will not be accepted.
The parade is scheduled to take place on Thursday, December 5, at 7 p.m. The parade will start on the corner of Hancock Avenue and Pulaski [ pu las kee]Street and end in front of the stage at City Hall for the traditional tree lighting ceremony.
This year’s theme is “Run, Run Rudolph.” Competitors will get the chance to compete for prizes such as “Best Use of Theme, “Best Performance”, and more. The best overall float will receive the “Mayor’s Award.”
