The UGA Veterans Clinic has provided law students with hands-on experience in legal situations, while also helping veterans access all of their benefits from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

The $11.5 million comes from when the clinic has found success in adding to veterans’ benefits or saving them from debt, averaging almost $280,000 per veteran.

Law students spoke to veterans in 94 Georgia counties, took in inquiries from more than 800 military families, and handled more than 42 client cases.
