Clarke County School District is hosting a FAFSA night December 10th at Vernon Payne Hall on Prince Avenue. The event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30pm.
The Free Application for Financial Aid website has been updated since last year’s mandated congressional overhaul of the site, and reports say that the application process has been made smoother.
To apply, applicants must have their
- Social security number or A-number if they are not a US. citizen
- Federal income reports including child support records, current cash balance, savings
and checking accounts - Any bank statements and records of investments
- Records of net worth investments, businesses, and farms
- Records of untaxed income if applicable
- An FSA ID including username and password to log in to the FAFSA website
The deadline for the 2025-2026 application is June 30th, 2026, but students are encouraged to have their forms submitted as soon as possible to ensure their chosen school will have ample time to process their aid.
Clarke County high school seniors can also have their application fees waived for a number of Georgia colleges till the end of November. A list of participating institutions is available on the GA futures website.
