Congress has promised to help farmers impacted by Hurricane Helene, including in Georgia, by passing billions of dollars of federal disaster relief. The bill was signed into law by President Biden.

Saturday night, Congress passed into law $21 billion in federal disaster relief as well as $10 billion in economic assistance for farmers.

Senator Jon Ossoff said it’s not clear yet how much of the funds will be allocated to Georgia, nor how farmers will receive the assistance.
