The President and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America has been chosen to deliver this year’s Holmes-Hunter Lecture.
Artis Stevens will deliver this year’s Holmes-Hunter Lecture. Stevens, who is the president and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and a UGA alumnus, will present the lecture on February 18 at 2 pm in the UGA Chapel. Named in honor of Charlayne Hunter-Gault and Hamilton Holmes Sr., the first Black students to attend the University of Georgia, the lecture
is sponsored by the Office of the President and has been held annually since 1985.
Stevens earned his bachelor’s degree at UGA, where he was president of the Black Affairs Council.
