The University of Georgia’s annual Humanities Festival returns for its third year, running from March 11 to April 2 with over 20 public events, including lectures, performances, and interactive experiences. Highlights include a National Book Award winner, an 11-time Grammy-nominated sitar player, and the 2024 Waterstones Debut Fiction Prize-winning author.
The festival celebrates the impact of humanities research and practice on society. “The imagination is the engine of all innovation,” said Nicholas Allen, Baldwin Professor in Humanities and co-chair of the UGA Humanities Council. “This festival offers a glimpse into the brilliant work happening across our campus.”
Organized by the Humanities Council, the event is supported by the Office of Research, the Provost’s Office, and the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, with participation from over 30 UGA departments. The full 2025 UGA Humanities Festival schedule is available online.
