March is Youth Art Month, and the Clarke County school district will be hosting their annual art exhibition for high school students encouraging creative expression.
Youth Art Month is a national observance that celebrates the importance of art education and encourages creative expression in the youth. The Clarke County School District will be hosting their third Confluence art exhibition showcasing students work from Cedar Shoals and Clarke Central high schools.
This year’s theme is “Confluence 3: Eastside & Westside,” the event will be open from March 19-24 at the Athens Institute for Contemporary Art, 675 Pulaski St. Suite 1200, Athens. The opening reception will be held on March 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
“We are excited for our many talented student artists to have a platform to showcase their works and for the community to see their incredible creativity on display,” said Dan Smith, CCSD Fine Arts, Health, and PE Curriculum Coordinator. “
