Jam for Cam music festival returns to downtown Athens this Saturday

University of Georgia

Jam for Cam is a nonprofit that organizes an annual music festival in Athens. This Saturday, it will take over the streets of downtown Athens beginning at 2:30 p.m.

The event honors the memory of Cameron Fearon, a University of Georgia student who passed away in 2018 from metastatic melanoma. All money raised goes toward melanoma research and Camp Carolina, which Cam grew up attending.

Headliners include The Gringos, Congress the Band, Penelope Road, and Milky Chance. More information about the event and the organization can be found online and on Instagram, Facebook, and X.

WUGA's Ryan Lynch has more on the story.
