Touchdowns 4 Tomorrow, a flag football tournament aiming to raise money for suicide prevention, will take place at University of Georgia’s intramural fields Wednesday at 4 p.m. The tournament seeks to raise money for mental health resources in honor of two UGA students who died by suicide.

Kaitlyn “McAuley” Millen and Wyatt Banks were two UGA students who died by suicide in 2023 and 2024.

Charlie Mixson, who was a friend of Banks and one of the two organizers, said they chose an event that reflected one of Banks’ passions.

Mixson says, “It needed to be something more personal to Wyatt. We thought of flag football immediately because of his passion for football; he was an offensive tackle in high school. He always loved the sport, and we wanted to do something personal to him.”

Money raised will be put toward a Sunshine Fund through Student Care & Outreach. According to the organizers, this money can be used for things like therapy or medication. About 500 people have already registered and $15,000 has been raised.
