A bridge in Madison County was closed by the state after it failed an inspection to determine how much weight the bridge can handle. The bridge over South Fork River along Rogers Mill Road was closed for traffic by the Georgia DOT.
Rogers Mill Road is a road that connects with Georgia Highway 98 and Georgia Highway 106. The bridge is near Floyd Road, which provides an alternate travel around the bridge. The bridge was already scheduled for repairs but that process has now been expedited.
