The University of Georgia will celebrate 8,781 graduates during its spring Commencement ceremonies on May 8 and 9. Graduate ceremonies take place May 8 at Stegeman Coliseum, featuring 260 doctoral and 1,597 master’s and specialist degree candidates. Dr. Paige Carmichael, a distinguished professor of veterinary medicine, will deliver the keynote address.
The undergraduate ceremony will be held May 9 at 7:30 p.m. in Sanford Stadium, rain or shine, with accommodations for severe weather announced via the Commencement website. Jarryd Wallace, a UGA alumnus and four-time Paralympian, will give the address.
UGA will honor 152 First Honor Graduates and student speaker Kate Hall from the Grady College. Attendees must follow the clear bag policy, and parking is free. The events will be streamed live at commencement.uga.edu
