The Georgia Department of Labor has recorded a decrease in unemployment from last month across Georgia.Every region in Georgia has dropped their unemployment rate for April, according to the Georgia Regional Commission under the Georgia Department of Labor.
For Northeast Georgia, the unemployment rate was down six-tenths to 2.9%. The last time the rate was 2.9% was a year ago. The number of employed people was also up to 273 in April, and up 637 people over the year, to a little over three hundred and thirty-eight thousand people total.
