The University of Georgia has named a new senior vice president for academic affairs and provost. On June 30, Benjamin C. Ayers will move from his position as the dean of Terry College to being the chief academic officer of UGA.
Since becoming a dean in 2014, Ayers managed 3 campus locations across Georgia and launched several competitive programs for the business school. His efforts have resulted in Terry College’s MBA program to be selected as the number 1 global value by Financial Times two years in a row.
As one of UGA’s longest serving deans, President Jere W. Whitehead says he is “confident that [Ayers] has the background and skill set to serve as a trusted and able partner in guiding the university’s continued upward trajectory.’”
