Commissioner Myers worries for future of some public projects after budget passage

The Athens-Clarke County Commission passed a controversial budget last month to guide government spending this year. Some residents objected to its use of funds generated by a local sales tax.

Commissioner Carol Myers of Clarke County’s 8th District proposed a rival version of the budget last month, which failed. I sat down with her to discuss her thoughts about the document that passed, and what she would have changed.

We look forward to hosting Commissioner Mike Hamby to discuss his budget in a later episode.
