Georgia professor, students launch PR team for Georgia films

Georgia-produced films are nothing new, but thanks to a generous tax credit for filmmakers, it’s been widely noted that the Peach State has become an alternative to Hollywood in recent years. Earlier this year, a University of Georgia professor and a small group of students banded together to promote Georgia-produced films.

I sat down with Dr. David Clementson, a professor of public relations at the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, who led the team, along with a student on his team, Annabelle Payne. They discussed the strategies they used to get one Georgia film to a wider audience. Here’s our conversation.
