Oconee County Board of Education engages consultant to search for new school superintendent

The Oconee County Board of Education has engaged a consultant to search for a new school superintendent.

The Board will review and interview applicants later this month and select top candidates for additional interviews in August. The school system also announced that “under the law, the board can name up to three finalists, but majority of boards identify a sole finalist.”

The board intends to release only the name of the one finalist, who is then voted on by the board.
