The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department is extending the summer pool hours at the Bishop Park Pool, located at 705 Sunset Drive. The facility will remain open for an extra week and will close on Saturday, August 2 at 5:30 pm.
Additionally, as part of Lay Park’s 50 anniversary celebration, the pool will be open on Saturday, August 2 from 2 to 5 pm. The Walker Park Splash Pad, located at 200 Trail Creek Street, will remain open, weekends only, through August 31 from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm. Admission is $1 per person.
The aquatics season will end on Sunday, July 27 with the other pools and the Howard Park Splash Pad closing for the season at 5:30 pm.
