The political action group Fair Fight has launched a new voter purge lookup tool as the state moves to remove hundreds of thousands of voter registrations from the rolls. The tool, located on the organization’s website, is aimed at helping Georgians check to see if they are on the list to be purged, and if eligible, take action to stay on the rolls ahead of elections this fall.
Earlier this month, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced a multi-phase audit of Georgia’s voter rolls. Letters were sent to nearly 480,000 voters warning their registrations could be canceled unless they responded within 40 days.
