FEMA is releasing the August numbers regarding its support for the state’s hurricane recovery measures.

According to a Wednesday release from the agency, FEMA doled out some $97 million last month for continued support of Georgia’s recovery efforts from damage due to Hurricane Helene.

The funding is for cleanup and restoration of infrastructure damaged by the storm. The August funding targeted road repair, critical infrastructure restoration, debris removal, and other emergency actions taken following Helene. The funds allow for 138 state and local recovery projects.

To date, Georgia has received more than $737.8 million in FEMA funding.
