Athens-Clarke County Unified Government is seeking out local organizations that want to be considered as a 2026 Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service volunteer project site.
The ACC Unified Government Leisure Services Department has opened applications for local organizations to apply as a volunteer project site for the 2026 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. The deadline to apply is Sunday, November 16.
Any public nonprofit, private nonprofits, schools, healthcare organizations, or any public organizations in Athens-Clarke County can apply. Service projects must be meaningful and make an impact on the community.
January 19, 2026 will mark the 24th year of the MLK Day of Service in Athens. The Athens MLK Day of Service is an annual celebration that recognizes Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s dedication to service.
