The Athens-Clarke County Police Department has made a series of arrests in connection with the murder of a 22-year old Winterville man.
The ACCPD arrested three individuals in connection with the death of Antonio Jewell: 23-year-old Samtavious Clark (Athens), 18-year-old Jeremiah Gresham (Athens), and 18-year-old Dion Nesbitt (Athens). The death occurred last Thursday.
Clark, Gresham, and Nesbitt were charged with Murder or Malice Murder, Armed Robbery, Possession of a Firearm During Commission of or Attempt to Commit Certain Felonies, and Criminal Street Gang charges.
During the investigation, the ACCPD found that the death of Jewell originated from an armed robbery attempt, which occurred at The View at NoDA apartment complex near downtown Athens.
