Nearly 82 million Americans are expected to travel this Thanksgiving holiday period, with AAA [American Automobile Association] predicting about 73 million, or 90 percent of those travelers hitting the road.

The University of Georgia is providing its annual vehicle inspection for students, faculty, and staff on Thursday, November 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. As part of Operation Safe Drive, mechanics from Transportation and Parking Services will top off fluids, check belts and wiper blades, pressurize tires, and conduct a visual inspection of vehicles for free.

Bike Athens will also be available to offer free bicycle inspections and tune-ups.
The event takes place at College Station Park and Ride.
