Alumnus and civic leader T. Rogers Wade has been named the 2025 recipient of the Dooley Friends of the UGA Libraries Award, which honors the philanthropic legacy of Vince and Barbara Dooley at the University of Georgia.

Wade and his late wife, Marcia, have long supported UGA Libraries through both service and major gifts, including an endowment that funds hands-on, research-based learning in the special collections libraries. Wade has also served for decades on the Richard B. Russell Foundation Board of Trustees, which backs the Russell Library for Political Research and Studies and other UGA initiatives.

To mark the award, a meeting room in the Richard B. Russell Special Collections Building now bears the Rogers and Marcia Wade name. At a Dec. 1 celebration, UGA President Jere W. Morehead joined Barbara Dooley, former Gov. Nathan Deal and other friends and family in recognizing the Wades’ lasting impact on campus and the state.
