The Athens-Clarke County Police Department has arrested a Madison man in connection with a Thursday shooting.
Police say 22-year-old Madison resident Jamarioun Clark is in custody for the shooting death of 26-year-old Anargyros Mantas. Police say Clark is charged with Aggravated Assault, Felony Murder, Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, and Possession of Firearm During Commission of a Crime.
Mantas was found by police in the area of West Broad Street and Pulaski Street at around 2:30 am on Thursday. Police had been called to the scene. Mantas was taken to a nearby hospital but died of his injuries.
