ACC poll workers needed ahead of 2026 elections

Several elections are set to happen this year and Athens-Clarke County is looking to be prepared.

The Athens-Clarke County government is currently accepting applications for seasonal poll workers. 2026 will see several local and statewide elections and poll workers play a crucial role during early voting and on Election Day.

The ACCGov Elections Department is looking for Poll Clerks, Poll Coordinators, and Assistant Poll Coordinators. The wages range from $15.60 - $17.94/hr.

Applicants must be U.S. Citizens, residents of Athens-Clarke County, and at least 16 years old along with other requirements that can be found on the online application.

The application can be found on ACCGov’s website under Elections News.

2026 ELECTION DATES:

  • Tuesday, May 19 – Local Elections & State/Federal Primary Elections
  • Tuesday, June 16 – Local Elections & State/Federal Primary Election Runoff (if needed)
  • Tuesday, November 3 – General Election
  • Tuesday, December 1 – General Election Runoff (if needed)
